Jo Ann Lamm
Jo Ann officially joined Southmountain in March 2020 to serve as the Interim Eastern Children’s Advocacy Regional Director before transitioning into her role as the Community Relations Specialists. Jo Ann consults with the leadership team on an as-needed basis.
If asked Jo Ann would say she has "belonged" to Southmountain for quite some time.

Jo Ann was born and raised in Nash County where she has lived her entire life. Nash County is the home of Jo Ann's Place, the Chidlren’s Advocacy Center named in Lamm’s honor. The center services three eastern North Carolina counties: Nash, Edgecombe and Wilson.
Jo Ann holds a BA from Barton College and received her Masters in Social Work from East Carolina University. Her 40+ year career includes child welfare social work and supervisor and the North Carolina Child Welfare Director.
Since retiring she has consulted with over 20 states and serves on the CACNC Board. Her passion for the protection and well-being of children in our state is paramount.
